Through this research, PKNI (Persaudaraan Korban Napza Indonesia) aims to document the social, economic and health impact of the fight against drugs in Indonesia during the period of January 2015 to May 2016.
The specific objectives of this project are:
1. To identify the evidentiary background of statements on the drug emergency situation in Indonesia that began in early 2015.
2. To identify the role of the various stakeholders and programmes working on the drug emergency response.
3. To examine the impact of the war on drugs related to health, economics and social aspects in Indonesia.
4. To explore issues of advocacy in drug-related policy.
The results of this documentation will be used to advocate to various parties to promote policies which are oriented towards a rights based and public health approach to drug use in Indonesia.
